Nettle DJ is proud to announce the release of her upcoming EP, Sonini — a four-track journey into the darker, more soulful dimensions of Afro House.
Rooted in the rich sonic tradition she has made her own, Sonini is Nettle DJ's most personal statement yet. The title track is nothing short of a divine spiritual being, carried by the voice of singer Okuhle Duma over some of Nettle DJ's most hypnotic production to date. The EP features three original tracks: Lost Voices, an immersive solo production that sets the tone for the project; Sonini, the haunting collaboration with Okuhle Duma at the heart of the release; and Thando, co-produced with EQUIE and once again with Okuhle Duma on vocals. A short version of Sonini rounds out the release, also available in Dolby Atmos for a fully spatial listening experience.
Dark, deep, and spiritually charged, Sonini is both a meditation and a movement — a reminder that at its core, Afro House has always been music that speaks to something beyond the physical.
