In early 2012, Tristan Casara delivered a two-track EP sitting somewhere between the progressive house of its golden years and a more contemporary melodic sensibility, driven by the rising energy of the international electronic music scene.

Voyages opens the record on an introspective note. The track is built around an 8-bit-flavoured synth melody — deliberately old-school — that traces a hypnotic line across generous, textured progressive arrangements. Nostalgic, almost cinematic in feel.

Chantage shifts the mood without hesitation: bigger, brighter, the track anchors itself on massive piano chords that bring an immediate, joyful energy. The build is direct and unambiguous, its festival intent fully owned.

Voyages & Chantage stands as one of the last releases under the Tristan Casara name before he closed this chapter to focus entirely on his new project, The Avener — whose worldwide success would soon follow.
