DA FREAK!

DA FREAK! is a French producer who grew up in California from the age of three. Immersed in the sounds of California hip-hop and G-Funk culture, he discovered music through beatboxing — recreating the groovy drum patterns of SexyBack and Drop It Like It's Hot.

Guided by the groove of hip-hop, he gradually expanded his world toward electronic music, exploring more complex, rhythmic, and percussive textures. Inspired by IDM figures such as Autechre and Skee Mask, as well as the house culture embodied by Frankie Knuckles and Mike Dunn, he has forged a singular sound — infused with a groovy techno edge rooted in the American West Coast.
